Kamesha Spates

Kamesha Spates (she/her) is a first-generation college student who began her educational journey at a local community college. She is an educator and life time learner who enjoys partnering with groups to build a more equitable and healthier environment.

 

With over 20 years of experience, Kamesha is highly skilled at facilitating cross-cultural dialogues both nationally and internationally. Her compassionate and empathetic approach is frequently praised, despite the challenges of these dialogues.

 

She takes pride in her role as a devoted wife and mother to two wonderful children. She also enjoys meditation, reading, podcasts, and beach outings. Additionally, she is pleased to now be able to offer an annual scholarship in honor of her grandmother, which gets awarded annually to a deserving, underrepresented student at the community college where she began her journey.
